Focus Point Holdings Berhad Supports Digital Empowerment for Students with Donation to MACO

In May 2024, Focus Point Holdings Berhad proudly donated 25 used computers and monitor screens to Medical Awareness Camp Outreach (MACO) for their Computer Empowerment Programme under The School Project umbrella. This initiative aims to support learning institutions and bridge the digital divide for students in need.

MACO launched a public appeal for used computers to address the plight of students without digital devices, many of whom had to share their parents' phones with their siblings. Their first laptop was distributed in August 2020, and by September of the same year, they had built their first school lab.

The dedicated MACO team visited our HQ office to collect the computers and monitor screens. We are honored to support MACO’s mission to bridge the digital divide and empower students with the necessary tools for their education.

In June 2024, these laptops were distributed to SJK (C) Poay Eng in Kuala Sepetang, Perak, where they are now making a significant difference in the students' educational experience.

The students at SJK (C) Poay Eng are pleased with the new additions to their computer lab. The laptops have created new learning opportunities, allowing the students to access a variety of digital resources and develop their technological skills.

This donation has not only provided essential tools for the students' education but also reinforced the importance of sustainable practices. By repurposing these laptops, we have contributed to reducing electronic waste and promoting a culture of reuse.
