World Sight Day 2018

We have marked the end of Focus Point World Sight Day (WSD) 2018: Eye Care Everywhere event on 14th October 2018 which was held in One Utama Shopping Centre. We are proud to say, it was indeed a memorable and unforgettable event!

During the event, the international Agency for the Prevention of Blindness stated that there are 1.2 billion people around the world need glasses. Thus, we, Focus Point Vision Care Group Sdn Bhd strongly believe that WSD is a relatively important day to raise the eye health awareness to the public.

World Sight Day 2018 was held 13-days in total from 2nd to 14th October 2018. There are 4 section of eye health screening to allow public to understand more on vision care. The process of eye screening enables to identify condition of the retina, areas of the front eyes, as well as glaucoma issue. Not only that, there were fun games, great deals and offers for eyewear carried on too!

Our World Sight Day event was officially launched on 11th October 2018, it was our great honour to have Mr. Vincent Mathieu, Vice President Asia South Region, ZEISS Vision Care together with Dato’ Liaw, President & CEO of Focus Point Holdings Berhad gracing the ceremony.

Good things did not just stop here. We truly believe every kid is born with talent and it is just a matter of when can it be identified. Often, their imagination is way beyond adult’s expectation. It is a great section for the kids to explore their creativity and imagination on the competition. Here’s to congrats to the winner, Tan Siew En who won the Kids Drawing Competition.

Eye Doctor sharing on 13 October 2018. Specialist Cataract by Dr. Wong Jun Shyan of ISEC Healthcare Ltd and The ABCs of The Human Eyelids by Dr. Ong Chin Tuan of Beacon Hospital.

Last but not least, we would like to thank everyone who’s supported and participated in this event. We definitely look forward to your presence in next year World Sight Day. Let’s take care our vision; Better Vision, Better World!
